Arun Biswas
Brother Arun Biswas is our indigenous India mission overseer. He lives in India with his wife and 2 children. He and his family are incredibly faithful to the Lord and live simple yet powerful Christian lives.
Arun Biswas was born in a so called Christian family on 07/26/1985. His father was a fisher man and mother was a house wife. He is the third son and his family conditions in his young life were not good as in many poor families.
He married young and a beautiful daughter was born, but poverty never left him even though he was a very willing and diligent worker. Many times when people are born to a poor family in the 3rd World they are never given the opportunity to get a good job, learn a skill/trade, etc. It’s truly horrible.
He joined with a Church ministry and learned about Jesus Christ and fellowshipped with them but they were not true, obedient believers like most who proclaim Jesus as their Saviour. Jobless life and poverty brings family problems. He started as a day laborer in a brick factory but it was very low salary and could not fulfill his basic needs.
India was a new place to him and his family and he eventually moved to Barasat. A village about 45 minutes from Kolkata, India. There he started mason day laborer work. In few years he got to be an expert in this field. His second daughter born in 2017 and he started a children’s ministry by himself in a totally Hindu and Muslim area. He now has upwards of 70 precious children he ministers to and teaches them about Jesus Christ, the One, True GOD. His wife and daughter also helps them study for their schoolwork.
In 2022, Working Faith Fellowship Church Bangladesh overseer Hilton Biswas visited him as they were childhood friends but the last 13 years they lost communication with each other. By the Grace of almighty God as Hilton was visiting India for his wife’s medical appointment, he was able to find brother Arun and they met. Hilton discipled him for many months and in February 2023, when James Miller, the founder of WFF & GMFC visited India for his medical procedure (he picked Kolkata, India for this very reason), Brother Arun and his family was commissioned for mission work in India.
We could not be more happy to have then on board. We love them dearly.
